How to refill prescriptions
As of July 1, 2010, we are using electronic presciptions exclusively. We always try to prescribe enough medication refills to last until your next appointment is due. For obvious reasons, it is best to coordinate your prescription refills with your routine appointments, when we are focused on your specific case. When you are running low on your presciption medication, please think about whether it is time to go ahead and make an appointment, and do so if that is the case. You can check on the interval of monitoring appointments for various conditions by clicking on "Office Policies" at left.
Please call any refill requests to your pharmacy and they will send an electronic request that will appear in our electronic medical record software. This makes your prescriptions safer because our software checks for allergies or drug interactions. Please allow at least one business day for us to respond to requests. Please do not call our office to request refills. That will only delay your refill. If your refill request is denied, that means it is time for an appointment to appropriately monitor your condition.
